I have been passionate about capturing emotion through photography for over 30 years. I strive to capture images that evoke feelings, that lure the eye to linger just a bit longer. I really do this for myself as a form of balance in my life. I capture images that I like to look at. If through that process you find an image that you enjoy also, it is an extra gift to me.
My main areas of focus fall into three main categories; Nature, Bike’s, Travel and People. I also do marketing and product photography that strives for more art than technical depiction. In addition, my lingering love of flight pulls me to photograph aircraft when given the opportunity.
Nature - I have always loved experiencing nature and that has been continually amplified ever since meeting my wife. I will never forget the first time I witnessed the change in her appearance when we left the city and traveled to the mountains. Her radiant beauty seems to grow exponentially when she is in the mountains. This is as strong now as it was the first time I met her. I try and capture images of nature in the way that speaks to me in the moment. Sometimes it is a close up of a flower or an impossibly wide perspective of a mountain range. It is always something that inspires me to be a better person.
BikeArt #BikeArt - Bicycling has not only saved my life but it has brought me some of the best friends I have ever had. The Beer Pedalers are real! It was a gorgeous summer day exploring the town of Salida (recommended by one of the founding members of the Beer Padelers, TMAD) when I came across this impossibly rusted old bike and snapped a photo of it. The light bulb went off and #BikeArt (for me at least) was born. I truly love this collection and am excited every time I can add an image to it! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
